Cable Car Santiago

Nearest Turistik bus stop: Stop 4: Bellavista / Funicular

This incredible invention of the man inaugurated in 1925 by President Arturo Alessandri Palma, unites the Caupolicán Square with the Summit of Cerro San Cristóbal.

Its first station was built with stone quarried from the same hill in the form of a medieval tower by the architect Luciano Kulczewski.

You can arrive by means of this transport to the National Zoo, to the Summit of San Cristóbal Hill, the Immaculate Conception Sanctuary and Santiago Cable Car.

On November 16, 2000, it was declared a National Historic Monument due to the value of its complex cable transportation system and its importance as a heritage element of Santiago.
