Inmaculada Concepción

It is one of the main religious and tourist landmarks of the capital inaugurated on April 26, 1908 at the top of San Cristóbal Hill, in the middle of the Easter celebration presided over by the priest Clovis Montero to celebrate 50 years of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception.

This sanctuary belongs to the Vicariate of Santiago and its statue is a replica of the “Virgin of Rome” by the Italian sculptor Giuseppe Obici; Her difference is that she is perched on a half moon instead of a full moon. December 8, the day of the Immaculate Conception, is the day that this sanctuary receives the most visits.

You can get there via Santiago Cable Car or Funicular, both at Cumbre Station. And also come by panoramic bus.
